OSF HealthCare and Jump To Work With MATTER To Revolutionize Health Care

OSF HealthCare and Jump Trading Simulation and Education Center have joined MATTER as founding partners. MATTER is a new hub of entrepreneurs and industry leaders working together to fuel the future of healthcare innovation including next-generation health IT, medical device, diagnostics, and biopharmaceutical companies.

As part of its partnership, OSF and Jump - which join MATTER as its exclusive founding health care system and clinical simulation center partners - will design simulation space within MATTER’s Chicago location for health care innovators to test products and processes.

In addition, OSF and Jump will be involved in special innovation programming that happens at MATTER – workshops, presentations, and classes. OSF and Jump staff will advise entrepreneurs and assist in the development of new health care innovations. This will give them a first-hand look at emerging technologies and the chance to impact the development of products that eventually may be instituted throughout the OSF ministry.

MATTER is a not-for-profit organization developed by a team of entrepreneurs and industry leaders and supported by the state of Illinois. It recently secured private-sector commitments of over $4 million which complements the $2.5 million grant and $1.5 million loan provided by the State of Illinois, and means that MATTER will launch with an initial capital commitment of more than $8 million.

MATTER is scheduled to open in early 2015 and is currently accepting applications for membership throughwww.matterchicago.com which includes access to MATTER’s mentor network, workshops and events designed to help entrepreneurs and innovators accelerate the growth of their companies. MATTER will also provide space to venture capital firms, research universities, healthcare providers and established companies.
