STEM Saturday - Medical Visualization for Beginners (6th-8th Grade)

From creating medical illustrations and clay sculpting, students will gain appreciation of an interdisciplinary field that bridge the study of medicine, art, technology and communication to develop visual material for medical education.  The students will learn to appreciate the heart’s form and function and how to put together a portfolio of their works.

STEM Saturday - Introduction to Healthcare Engineering (6th-8th Grade)

Come and join the Jump Simulation Bioengineers as they lead learners through an investigation into the wide diversity of fields available in engineering. Attendees will get hands-on experience with many skills that our engineers use each day at Jump Simulation, including the molding and 3D printing of organs and body parts from live patients, an introduction into circuitry and coding, exciting chemistry experiments and a bridge building competition. The course is designed to expose middle school students to classic and unconventional options in the field of engineering, and is excellent for any student interested in math or the sciences.

STEM Saturday - Advanced Mini Med School (9th-12th Graders)

STEM Advanced Mini Med School will provide attendees with an interactive overview of the basic knowledge and concepts that a medical student learns in medical school about the human body. This course has been designed as a concentrated overview of the basic anatomy and physiologic processes involved in medical fields for high school students that are interested in pursuing a college pathway in healthcare or medical education. Learners will have an opportunity to review the basic science followed by hands-on experiences in dissection and medical skills that correlate with each of the systems of the human body. The course is designed to open the learners mind to a future in medical education while giving them an opportunity to learn challenging concepts through a layperson perspective and gain medical experience at a world-renowned medical simulation facility.
