Ann Willemsen-Dunlap is the Director of Interprofessional Education. She is responsible for the development and execution of interprofessional education at Jump.

Ann is an Iowa native. She received her BSN from Grand View College in Des Moines, and went on to complete training as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) at the University of Iowa. She also earned a PhD in Science Education with concentrations in physiology and assessment from that institution.

Prior to becoming a CRNA, Ann worked as a Pediatric Intensive Care nurse, including  pediatric transport, at the University of Iowa. After completing her anesthesia program, she worked as a staff CRNA at the University of Iowa, and served as the Assistant Director of the Nurse Anesthesia program there.

She gained her experience in simulation, teamwork training, and interprofessional education while co-Directing the University of Iowa  Department of Anesthesia’s simulation laboratory. She became part of the Jump team in March, 2012.

In her free time, Ann enjoys reading, spending time with her family, and  learning about the ingredients and cooking techniques she finds  in antique cook books. She and her husband, Bruce, have a son, Ian, who is attending college in Iowa, and Ellen, a high school freshman.
