September is Discover Innovation Month at the Jump Trading Simulation and Education Center in Peoria. The month will feature a series of events for people in and outside of health care.
September 10-12 Jump will host TEDMED Live Streaming. Jump will stream live the three-day TEDMED event from San Francisco and Washington, D.C. with three sessions offered each day. TEDMED is the independently owned and operated health and medicine edition of the world-famous TED conference, with the goal of seeding innovations in health and medicine which lead to medical breakthroughs. September 18, the Disney Institute is presenting a day-long seminar on creativity and innovation. The course will share methods used by the Walt Disney Company that can be employed immediately, using the number one resource every organization already has – its employees! Disney Institute will help attendees understand how engaging and encouraging the imaginative power of employees, lasting and competitive advantages can be reached. Seating is limited. September 26-28 is the first ever Startup Weekend Medical. The goal of this event is to attract aspiring entrepreneurs, designers, developers, engineers, even clinicians, to come to Jump for the weekend with the opportunity to launch an innovative idea in health care. Registration deadline is September 15.
