Canada’s Consul General to Illinois Visiting Peoria
OSF HealthCare, Jump Simulation Center and the Peoria Area Chamber of Commerce are hosting Dr. Roy Norton, the head of the Canadian Consulate General based in Chicago. The Consul General represents Canadian interests in Illinois, Missouri, Wisconsin and Northwest Indiana.
Dr. Norton will tour the Jump facility and speak with Peoria Mayor Jim Ardis as well as leaders from OSF HealthCare, Jump and SIMnext about a variety of health care issues.
The Consul General will also address the Peoria-area business community about the trading relationship between Canada and Illinois, and how it has resulted in many jobs for the state including the Peoria region. He will also talk about Canada’s business environment, energy diversity and the integration of the North American energy and agriculture sectors.
